My 20 year old son Blake and I flew down to Huntsville from Minnesota for Stearman training. I was in the market to buy a Stearman and wanted to get some flight time as insurance would require it as prerequisite. We drove out to the Moontown airport the evening before training was to start and were impressed with the charming setting for the airport. The sun was low in the sky and it back lit the Stearman parked next to the grass runway as it reminded us of a movie site location.

We both received 5 hours of dual in the Stearman 68wiskey from Aaron Komara. The aircraft was in excellent condition, a pleasant surprise. Aaron is a very good instructor, knowledgeable with an excellent demeanor that is required for a top notch instructor.

We purchased a Stearman shortly after completing our flight training. I hired Aaron and Brant to pick the aircraft up from Savanna, Georgia and fly it to Moontown. My wife Sue and I drove to Huntsville to meet the aircraft. At Moontown Aaron gave me some refresher training in my Stearman. The next day I started home to Minnesota with my newly acquired aircraft.
